The Prosecco di Valdobbiadene Superiore Brut 'Revén' by Ruggeri is born on the steepest slopes of Valdobbiadene. The name, in the Veneto dialect, evokes the steep hills, and the label features a map of the ten parcels of origin, hand-harvested and vinified separately before blending. A resting period of at least six months on the lees gives structure and depth. On the nose, notes of acacia flowers and jasmine, green apple, pear, and Mediterranean herbs emerge. The palate is full and enveloping, fresh and savory, with a long finish. Perfect with a spiced risotto and pepper.
