'Peper' Schioppettino di Prepotto Spolert 2022

The Schioppettino di Prepotto 'Peper' by Spolert is the red that best tells the story of this Friulian terroir. After a maceration on the skins and a long rest of eighteen months in tonneau of French oak, it presents itself with an intense ruby color. On the nose, it is elegant and deep, with black cherry and plum, black pepper, and a hint of graphite. On the palate, it is dry and round, with excellent structure, smooth tannins, and a long, fresh persistence. A red for long aging, ideal with red meats and game.
