Chorey-lès-Beaune Maison Lou Dumont - Koji Nakada 2023
The Chorey-Lès-Beaune Rouge by Lou Dumont - Koji Nakada is a Pinot Noir from Burgundy coming from the Côte de Beaune. This denomination is located between Aloxe-Corton and Savigny-Lès-Beaune and is known for softer and juicier interpretations of the grape variety compared to other expressions in the area, while maintaining the typical Burgundian finesse. The spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts and the partial use of whole clusters help to preserve freshness and dynamism, while the long aging in barrique for 18 months enhances its complexity and aromatic articulation. On the nose, notes of red cherry, small berries, violet, and slight spicy hints are distinguished. The sip is harmonious, soft, and smooth, supported by delicate tannins and a pleasant freshness. It pairs well with a herb-roasted pork tenderloin.
