The Chardonnay 'Quartz Acorn' from Domaine Roy originates in Oregon from the descendants of the historic Beaux Frères estate and is now part of the Frescobaldi family. The fermentation in barrels, with complete malolactic fermentation and ten months of aging in French oak, gives a rich and structured expression. On the nose, concentrated notes of ripe peach, guava, and limoncello emerge. On the palate, the lively freshness combines with a round body and persistent savoriness, for an elegant and mineral sip. A perfect pairing with butter-seared scallops.
